Fly EasyJet London to Bulgaria £70

Skiing in Bulgaria got much cheaper with the announcement that EasyJet now flies into Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, only 40mins drive to the Ski resort Borovets. From £70 each way, including taxes, you can now book your flight direct from this website by clicking on the links. You can then book your whole package online here by following the links to accommodation, then Ski packages to suit your requirements as well as meet and greet transfers from the airport to the accommodation. Whether touring quaint small towns, historic churches and monasteries, local shops, or enjoying the pure air and outdoor activities, you'll find that anytime is the right time to visit Borovets!Comprehensive lift system, Snow-Making equipment, Lighted Ski Runs...For downhill skiers and snow boarders, Borovets offers 18 well kept and lift equipped ski runs totaling over 40 kilometers in length, descending from a high point of 2 560 meters above sea level, with a maximum vertical drop of 1 420 meters.

The Borovets ski season runs from December through to April with a snow cover of more than 1.5 meters. It also has snow guns for producing snow, and some slopes are illuminated for skiing at night.Well-marked Borovets ski slopes for all experience levels...

There are slopes of varying degrees of difficulty suitable for skiers of all skill levels. All ski runs are marked according to international standards with signs in several languages. Excellent Borovets Ski Schools & Beginner Slopes.Borovets has an excellent ski school with over 200 professional ski instructors, speaking English, German, French and Russian. Group and private lessons are available at reasonable rates. Beginners start the week on the nursery slopes but by the end of the week everyone is heading for the gondola lift and the more challenging runs.

Self-catering supplies

We found shopping supplies in the Ski resort a bit restrictive until we discovered that for less than €1 we could zip down to the nearby village of Samokov and shop in style for cheap groceries and supplies to stock up the Apartment fridge. In fact it was almost worth the trip just to go for lunch there and enjoy the wide variety of sliced meats and fresh bread rolls as well as beer and breakfast goodies.
